* The Woodstock Fair: (Labor Day Weekend) We are a favorite place to stay for attendees of the Woodstock Fair—Connecticut’s oldest agricultural fair. Enjoy rides, livestock shows, and great food just a short drive from your campsite.
* Taylor Brooke Winery & Brewery: Looking to unwind? Visit this beautiful local vineyard and brewery for tastings and scenic views.

Hiking & Parks

While Chamberlain Lake has plenty of nature, the surrounding area is full of trails.
* Mashamoquet Brook State Park: Hike to the legendary "Wolf Den" and explore the deep woods.
* Bigelow Hollow State Park: Great for extensive hiking trails and forestry.

Putnam

A short drive takes you to downtown Putnam, known as the "Antiques Capital of the East."
* Antique Shopping: Browse the massive antique centers and unique boutiques for hidden treasures.
* River Mills District: Enjoy a stroll along the Quinebaug River or catch the famous "Fire & Ice" festival if you are visiting in winter/early spring.
* Dining: From classic diners to upscale eateries, Putnam offers a break from campfire cooking.

Racing & Adventure

* Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park: We welcome race fans! We are located just ~20 minutes from the track, offering a quiet place to sleep after a day at the races.
* Golf: Several public golf courses are located within a 15-minute drive, including Harrisville Golf Course.
